Ingredients:
Rice – 120 g
Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp.
Cardamom – 2 pcs.
Cloves – 3 pcs. (or star anise)
Cinnamon – 1 tsp.
Cumin – 0.25 tsp.
Bay leaf – 1 pc.
Spinach – 100 g
Chili Pepper – 2 pcs. (small)
Garlic – 2 Cloves
Red onion – 1 pc.
Potatoes – 1 pc.
Salt – To taste
Mint – To taste
Turmeric – To taste (or garam masala)
Cooking method:
- Boil rice in salted water.
- Rinse the spinach well and chop with a blender in mashed potatoes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan, add chopped garlic, chili, bay leaf. Add chopped onions and finely chopped potatoes. Add all the spices and fry until the potatoes are tender.
- Add spinach paste, remove laurel, star anise and cardamom, chili, add chopped mint leaves.
- Now put the rice in the pan and mix everything well.
