Rice with spinach

Servings: 3
Ingredients:
Rice – 120 g
Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp.
Cardamom – 2 pcs.
Cloves – 3 pcs. (or star anise)
Cinnamon – 1 tsp.
Cumin – 0.25 tsp.
Bay leaf – 1 pc.

Spinach – 100 g
Chili Pepper – 2 pcs. (small)
Garlic – 2 Cloves
Red onion – 1 pc.
Potatoes – 1 pc.
Salt – To taste
Mint – To taste
Turmeric – To taste (or garam masala)

Cooking method:

  1. Boil rice in salted water.
  2. Rinse the spinach well and chop with a blender in mashed potatoes.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan, add chopped garlic, chili, bay leaf. Add chopped onions and finely chopped potatoes. Add all the spices and fry until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Add spinach paste, remove laurel, star anise and cardamom, chili, add chopped mint leaves.
  5. Now put the rice in the pan and mix everything well.
