Mushroom sauce

Nutritional value (per 100 g):
Caloric content – 68 kcal
Proteins – 2.8 g
Fat – 4 g
Carbohydrates – 3.5 g

Ingredients:
Champignons – 300 g
Onions – 150 g
Garlic – 4 cloves
Vegetable oil – 0.5 tsp.
Sour cream 10% – 300 ml
Salt – 0.5 tsp.
Pepper – 0.3 tsp
Ground nutmeg – 0.4 tsp

Diet sauce preparation:

  1. First, cut the onion into small pieces.
  2. Add half a teaspoon of vegetable oil to a preheated pan and fry the onion until golden brown, then add garlic to it.
  3. Chop the mushrooms and put them in a pan with onions and garlic.
  4. Simmer the mushrooms for about 10 minutes, then add sour cream, pepper, nutmeg, and salt to taste. Stir and simmer for another 5-7 minutes.

  1. I find cooked mushrooms have an odd smell that I don’t like. How would you go about masking this odor?

    1. I am not sure about odor, or I just like it, or I just add lots of spices, sometimes I soak mushrooms in water. I think it depends, how to cook them.
