Can I use agar agar in the place of gelatin? Will I get the same result?
yes, you can) You will get same results, just follow the instructions on a package. I am using agar agar time to time too.
Ok. Thank you so much 🙂
Have a nice day 🙂
Have a nice day you too)
Oh, just it might be thicker, stronger structure, since agar agar used more for jelly candies, pastelle
Oh, by the way, do you know why sometimes jelly candies melt quickly? I tried twice but they literally melted after a few hours. Thanks in advance
Did you make them with agar agar? If yes, so maybe need to check proportions, maybe not enough agar agar in it, because it should not melt. If with gelatin, it will melt. Another question, if you made with gelatine, were candies sour? Like lemon, kiwi candies? Acid rouins gelatine, so pick not sour kind for gelatine.
I did it with agar agar because I don’t use gelatin. I tried with fresh orange juice. Thanks for the advice, I will try putting a bit more agar agar 🙂
Well, acid does not ruin agar agar, must be proportions, need to play with it) You are welcome.
