INGREDIENTS:
Frozen Green Peas 300 g
Potato 4 pcs
Onion 1 pc
Water 3 tbsp
Ham 300 g
Meat broth 1 l
Butter 1 tbsp
Parsley 5 g
Dill 5 g
Ground black pepper to taste
Cumin to taste
Salt to taste
Cooking method:
- Finely chop the onion and warm with oil in a special bowl for 5 minutes. Add peas, potatoes, chopped into small cubes, pour half the broth, mix, cook 25 minutes (stirring 2 times)
- Cool half of the cooked peas and potatoes and mash them to a puree state. Put in the bowl in which the soup was prepared, add the remaining broth, ham, cut into small cubes, mix, salt, add spices. Mix and warm again. Sprinkle the prepared soup with chopped herbs.

Split pea soup is one of my favorites, I can’t believe you make this out of frozen peas. I have always used the dried hard peas. I love it thick and refer to it as split pea stew. 🥰
I love more with dry too, but there is always other way
