For maximum benefit, apply this oil or carefully dilute it with a carrier oil and massage your legs, arms and joints.

Bergamot is another essential oil that has healing properties for colds and flu. Studies have shown that, when evaporated, bergamot oil effectively destroys the bacteria that cause the flu virus in just 10 minutes! Moreover, compounds such as pinene, terpineol, and geraniol eliminate stagnant phenomena and have powerful antibacterial and analgesic properties.
Peppermint oil is another miracle cure for colds and flu. It contains compounds such as menthol, which give the herb a minty smell and taste, and are also potent analgesics with expectorant, decongestant, and antibacterial properties. Peppermint oil can also help reduce fever! To use peppermint essential oil for the symptoms of a cold or flu, sprinkle it by massaging your feet or upper respiratory tract using a carrier oil or add a few drops to a warm bath.
