Let’s be honest: all the girls at least once in their life came to the training wearing make-up. No, no, we do not blame anyone, because the reasons can be very different – did not have time to wash after work or decided to use a foundation to mask the treacherous rash on the forehead, and a selfie in the locker room without long black eyelashes does not work out so spectacular. But alas, the desire to combine make-up with active physical activity, to put it mildly, is not a good idea. Now tell you why.
Tones represent the greatest danger to the skin – sweat, which usually comes out through the pores, is blocked by a layer of foundation. As a result, you run the risk not only of aesthetic problems, such as skin irritation and clogged pores, but also serious disruptions in the functioning of the whole body. Be sure to pay attention to the composition of your foundation: silicones, Cyclopentasiloxane – these are the very ingredients that are responsible for clogging pores. And yes, even the fact that you are buying very expensive cosmetics is not a guarantee of the absence of a possible allergic reaction. Ideally, before training, you need to completely cleanse the skin and use a moisturizer.
– When using a foundation that has a dense texture, during intense physical exertion (skin temperature rises at this moment), particles of the product are mixed with drops of sweat, which leads to clogging of pores, inflammation of the sebaceous hair follicles, and also in some cases allergic contact dermatitis. Always remember that, with sweat, the body gets rid of various toxins and metabolic products, and during active sports, sweating increases several times, so it is absolutely impossible to clog pores.
BB cream or CC cream
Products such as BB creams and CC creams are often positioned as lighter and less dense versions of the classic foundation. But this does not mean that they can be used painlessly during training – despite all the differences, these funds can lead to the same problems as regular tonal creams. BB creams and CC creams are especially dangerous for skin prone to acne.
Mascara, pencil, and eyeshadow
Particles of mascara or eyeshadow when applied to the mucous membranes of the eyes can cause serious irritation, and in some cases even an infection of the cornea. So there are no smoky eyes in the gym, and even more so no shadows with sparkles – they can scratch the cornea. In addition, when you sweat, it’s difficult to control yourself all the time so that you don’t accidentally rub your eyes (hello, sad panda!). The conclusion is obvious: before training, make-up with eyelids and eyelashes is also better to remove.
– If you are prone to excessive sweating or plan to conduct high-intensity training, it is better to refrain from using mascara and eye shadow or put on a special fabric rim on your head, which will prevent sweat from getting into your eyes.
What you need to know before going to the gym:
- Wash your face thoroughly before training and apply a light moisturizer suitable for your skin type. Thus, during training, you will not only improve your physical fitness but also take care of the beauty and health of your skin, which, together with then get rid of harmful toxins.
- If you are comfortable with lipstick or lip gloss, continue in the same vein – there are no contraindications.
